Simpson University Athletics issued the following announcement.
The Simpson University women's basketball program has postponed all competition the rest of the Fall 2020 semester as a precautionary measure due to COVID-19.
The Red Hawks were slated to play William Jessup University today and travel down to Southern California to face #1 Westmont College and #6 Vanguard University on Dec. 4 and 5.
"While we are all disappointed about not being able to play this semester, we understand the seriousness of the Covid-19 situation surrounding us and are doing what we can to
stay safe. Our staff is extremely proud of how our players have handled this situation and we look forward to the possibility of playing in January '' said head women's basketball
coach Derrick Pringle, Jr.
It has not been determined yet if the games will be rescheduled.
