Of the 179,267 people living in Shasta County in 2020, 50.8 percent (91,115) were women and 49.2 percent (88,152) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Redding Today.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 1,048. In the 65 and over age range, there were 19,932 females and 16,991 males.
