With a tireless passion and commitment to public service, Brian Nestande built a legacy that was rooted in his love for his community. He championed and supported policies to enhance education, protect California’s youth and foster children, and promote greater transparency in government. Brian was a dedicated mentor, friend, husband, and father. His presence brought light and joy into many lives, and we will never forget his remarkable legacy. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Nestande family during this difficult time.
California's 1st Senate District contains all or portions of 11 counties, including Alpine, El Dorado, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Sierra, Siskiyou, and Shasta. Also serving deferred areas of Tehama, Butte, Colusa, and Glenn counties.
