Senator Dahle of California has voiced support for increased transparency in construction projects within the state. He highlighted the misuse of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for non-environmental purposes, stating, "The financial burden of constructing within California is significant, and all too often the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) has been exploited for non-environmental reasons."

Dahle also emphasized the negative impact of influential individuals exploiting CEQA, saying, "Influential powerbrokers are leveraging CEQA to further their interests at the expense of the public good." He commended the author of SB 1259, a bill aimed at streamlining construction projects and enhancing transparency, noting that "SB 1259 would help streamline construction projects in the state and provide greater transparency."

The 1st Senate District represented by Senator Dahle covers a wide geographical area, including 11 counties such as Alpine, El Dorado, and Shasta. The district also includes parts of Tehama, Butte, and Glenn counties, among others, as mentioned, "California's 1st Senate District contains all or portions of 11 counties, including Alpine, El Dorado, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Sierra, Siskiyou, and Shasta."
