Tehama County Department of Education's schools enrolled 123 students in the 2022-23 school year, 21.2% less than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 58.5% of them were boys, and 41.5% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, making up 58.5% of the Tehama County Department of Education's total enrollment.

Tehama County Department of Education School District covers three schools within Tehama County with its main office in Red Bluff.

Among the three schools in Tehama County Department of Education, Lincoln Street recorded the highest enrollment of 71 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
