Senator Brian Dahle extended Thanksgiving greetings to his constituents in a recent message. He emphasized the importance of reflecting on blessings during this time and expressed gratitude for the North State and the opportunity to represent California’s 1st Senate District.
"You may be aware of the current redistricting effort in California, which occurs every 10 years following the Census," Dahle noted. "This process ensures that legislative districts have relatively equal populations in order to provide fair representation for all Californians." The final district lines are yet to be determined, but Dahle assured constituents he would continue to serve until 2024.
Dahle also highlighted Small Business Saturday, which falls on November 27, immediately after Black Friday. He pointed out that many small businesses faced economic challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "A recent report from the Small Business Credit Survey states that 66% of small businesses experienced economic challenges to paying their operating expenses, 49% expressed difficulty paying rent, and 66% used personal funds in the previous 12 months," he stated. He encouraged people to support local businesses during this holiday season.
In conclusion, Dahle provided resources for those in need and reminded constituents that his staff is available for assistance.
California's 1st Senate District includes all or parts of Alpine, El Dorado, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Sierra, Siskiyou, Shasta counties as well as areas of Tehama, Butte, Colusa and Glenn counties.
