I joined with Mike Albrecht from Sierra Resource Management and other regional leaders in industry and government Thursday afternoon at the Sierra Cascade Logging Conference in Anderson on a panel discussing the state's wildfire crisis.
Managing our forests better is critical to community safety, watershed health, and our air quality. The state needs to help build the workforce and infrastructure so landowners can manage and protect the forests in California. Otherwise we will lose millions more acres to catastrophic fires.
California's 1st Senate District contains all or portions of 15 counties, including Alpine, El Dorado, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Sierra, Siskiyou, and Shasta. Also serving deferred areas of Tehama, Butte, Colusa, and Glenn counties.
