Senator Brian Dahle has expressed his support for victims of human trafficking. He emphasized the importance of Senate Bill 1042, which aims to increase penalties for those involved in human trafficking.

"As a proud co-author of this bill (Senate Bill 1042) to increase penalties for human trafficking, I am humbled by the strength of victims to come forward to share their story, and am frustrated that politicians continue to block legislation that holds criminals accountable," said Senator Dahle.

California's 1st Senate District, represented by Senator Dahle, includes all or parts of Alpine, El Dorado, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Sierra, Siskiyou, and Shasta counties. It also serves deferred areas of Tehama, Butte, Colusa, and Glenn counties.
