Senator Brian Dahle recently shared updates with constituents in his newsletter, addressing key legislative issues and initiatives. Regarding AB 205, which allows new fixed charges for customers based on income, Senator Dahle expressed his opposition, stating, "I’ve been very vocal about bad policies from the left pushing electricity rates to unsustainable prices." He and his Republican colleagues introduced Senate Bill 1326 to repeal AB 205 and provide financial relief for consumers.

In tackling the issue of homelessness, Senator Dahle proudly coauthored Senate Bill 1011, aiming to compassionately clear homeless encampments around sensitive areas. He also expressed concern about the practice of dumping sexually violent predators into communities without proper supervision, stating, "I recently took up an amendment on the Senate Floor to stop this harmful practice."

Furthermore, Senator Dahle highlighted the importance of constituent engagement, inviting individuals to share their thoughts on important issues through a survey, emphasizing, "Your opinion is valuable‚ so I want to hear from you."

In response to concerns raised by constituents regarding AT&T's application to phase out older copper telephone landlines, Senator Dahle reassured the public that he is in discussions with AT&T to ensure transparency and better outcomes. He encouraged those affected to participate in the CPUC's virtual meeting on March 19th or submit comments.

Additionally, Senator Dahle shared information about tax season resources, including the California Earned Income Tax Credit for low-income working Californians. He also reminded individuals to check for unclaimed property to avoid losing assets to the state.

In the district, Senator Dahle's team engaged in various community events and celebrations, demonstrating support for local businesses and organizations. From attending grand openings to participating in round table discussions and community breakfasts, Team Dahle remained actively involved in the district's activities.

Senator Dahle's office also successfully assisted a constituent in obtaining a $100,000 grant after facing challenges with the application process. He commended his staff's dedication and urged constituents to reach out for assistance with state agencies or legislative inquiries.

As Senator Dahle continues to advocate for his constituents in California's 1st Senate District, encompassing multiple counties, he remains dedicated to addressing legislative issues, supporting local communities, and ensuring that the voices of those he represents are heard in Sacramento.
