This week, Senator Brian Dahle (R-Bieber) announced Camp Fire Collaborative (CFC) as the 2024 Nonprofit of the Year for California’s 1st Senate District.
CFC is a community collaboration comprised of nearly 100 nonprofit, private, and public organizations working to address the unmet needs of Camp Fire survivors. They serve as a lifeline to many in the region, with a focus on sustainable recovery using their combined vision and resources.
“Camp Fire Collaborative is a beacon of hope connecting community members with the critical resources they need to rebuild and recover," said Senator Dahle. "Their thoughtful leadership, dedication, and exemplary service is truly remarkable. I am honored to recognize them for their efforts to help families rebuild in and around the beautiful town of Paradise."
On November 8th, 2018, the devastating Camp Fire forever changed the face of Butte County. The aftermath has been challenging with the loss of homes, businesses, and an entire community. Camp Fire Collaborative has been intentional in expanding their footprint to serve individuals in not only Butte County but Tehama and Glenn counties as well.
“We are truly honored to be recognized by Senator Dahle as Nonprofit of the Year for California’s 1st Senate District," stated Bruce Yerman, Director of Operations of Camp Fire Collaborative. "This acknowledgment is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team. At CFC, we believe in the power of collaboration. Together, we create a community where unique organizations come together to support survivors. Each partner brings their own mission and passion to the table, and it's through this collective effort that we make a real difference for those we serve. This recognition is deserved far and wide in our community."
